Prisoner of tradition, society and your own fear

Have you ever felt like doing something (the thought of which really made you smile) but you turning it down later just because of reasons similar to:

- Your parents will not be happy with it.
- Your social circle will not approve it (you may be taunted or made fun of)
- It may portray you someone not normal

I am not talking about things like doing something violent, abusing alcohol or driving rash. I am talking about simple changes in your life like growing your hairs long, having a pet, driving a scooter rather than a bike, being a guy and cooking your own food etc. I hope you get the gist of what I am talking about.

I feel we have lived long enough in a society of fear. Fear of others or fear of consequences. And I feel you can't truly find yourself as long as you keep succumbing to your fears. Only by experimenting new things (however weird it may seem to others) you can find your self-confidence.

Why to live a life where you are no different from others? Why be another sheep in the herd? If you think you can stand out by doing something which you really like even if others don't approve it, go ahead and do it!

Its time you stop caring about those who judge you be societies general standards and try to pull you back. Break free from the stereotypes. You are better off without them. Find your own true form and you will be everlasting happy!
